The Quality of Your Problems

For a peculiar kind of people.

Not everyone.

Not meant in a motivational-poster, “you are special” kind of way.

But in the quiet, terrifying, slightly embarrassing way.

The kind of people who, at some point, broke out of a pattern.

Not broke out of sadness.

Not broke out of laziness.

Not broke out of some temporary phase.

But broke out of something much deeper.

A loop.

A script.

A normal life that was somehow available to them, but never truly possible.

And once they broke out, they couldn’t unsee it.

They couldn’t go back.

They started living with this strange, private knowing.

Not a feeling.

Feelings come and go.

This was different.

This was a knowing.

That somehow, for some reason, they are here for something larger.

Something they don’t fully understand yet.

Something legendary.

Not legendary in the cheap, fame-hungry sense.

Not legendary as in lights, applause, followers, money, interviews, validation.

Legendary as in — this life cannot be wasted.

Legendary as in — something must pass through me.

Legendary as in — if I don’t do my part, something that was supposed to exist may never exist.

And that is a very strange thing to live with.

Because you can’t say it out loud.

You can’t sit in a room and tell people,

“I think I have been chosen for something.”

They will laugh.

Or worse, they will psychoanalyse you.

They will call it ego.

They will call it delusion.

They will call it immaturity.

They will tell you to be practical.

They will ask you to calm down.

And honestly, fair enough.

Because from the outside, it does sound insane.

It does sound like peak self-importance.

It does sound like the kind of thing someone says right before making terrible life decisions and calling it destiny.

So you keep quiet.

You sit in the room.

You look around.

People are talking about normal things.

Jobs. Salaries. Weekends. Plans. Gossip. Rent. Marriage. EMIs. Traffic. Office politics. Who said what. Who posted what. Who is doing better. Who is falling behind.

And you are there physically.

But something inside you is elsewhere.

Not because you think you are better than them.

That would be too small.

It is not superiority.

It is separation.

A very lonely kind of separation.

Because some part of you knows:

Nobody else in this room is carrying what I am carrying.

Not because they are lesser.

But because this particular weight is not theirs.

It is yours.

Hum ko chuna gaya hai.

And no, that does not mean life will be kinder to you.

Actually, it usually means the opposite.

Because if your life is meant to carry a larger task, your problems will also be shaped accordingly.

That is the part people don’t understand.

They want a big destiny with small discomforts.

They want a mountain with escalators.

They want a mission without the madness.

They want impact without isolation.

They want depth without the drowning.

They want to be used by something greater, but only if it respects their calendar, their emotions, their sleep cycle, and their social life.

Cute.

But that’s not how it works.

The quality of your problems changes with the size of your calling.

An ordinary life comes with ordinary problems.

And I don’t mean “ordinary” as an insult.

Ordinary problems are real.

Money problems are real.

Family problems are real.

Health problems are real.

Relationship problems are real.

Survival is real.

But there is another category of problems.

Problems that come when you are not just trying to survive life, but answer it.

Problems that come when your inner world has already crossed a line your outer life has not caught up to yet.

Problems that come when your taste is ahead of your skill.

Your vision is ahead of your resources.

Your calling is ahead of your credibility.

Your hunger is ahead of your bank balance.

Your purpose is ahead of your proof.

That gap is brutal.

That gap will beat the romance out of you.

You will know you are meant for something huge, while checking your account balance with a small panic attack in your stomach.

You will imagine changing the world, then spend the afternoon figuring out how to pay rent.

You will carry a vision that feels almost sacred, then have to negotiate with people who think in discounts.

You will know the mountain is yours, but you will not know where the next shoe is coming from.

This is where most people break.

Not because they are weak.

Because the contrast is humiliating.

Inside, you are building cathedrals.

Outside, you are sending follow-up emails.

Inside, you are hearing thunder.

Outside, someone is asking, “Can you do it for less?”

Inside, you know you are not here for mediocrity.

Outside, mediocrity keeps sending invoices.

And this is exactly where the quality of your problems reveals the quality of your path.

Because at some level, you don’t get to choose whether life gives you problems.

That is childish thinking.

Life will give you problems anyway.

The only real question is:

What kind?

Problems of comfort?

Or problems of creation?

Problems of comparison?

Or problems of contribution?

Problems of fitting in?

Or problems of becoming undeniable?

Problems because you are betraying yourself?

Or problems because you are obeying something within you that refuses to die?

That is the real split.

Most people are not problem-free.

They are just suffering for things they don’t even respect.

They are anxious about things they don’t even want.

They are exhausted by lives they did not consciously choose.

They are loyal to systems that do not know their name.

They are bleeding energy into games that won’t matter in five years.

And then there is this other kind of person.

The person who knows the pain is still pain.

But at least it is aligned pain.

At least the wound has direction.

At least the suffering is not random leakage.

At least the fire is cooking something.

That matters.

People will tell you not to romanticise struggle.

And they are right.

Don’t.

Struggle by itself is not holy.

Pain by itself is not proof.

Being broke is not artistic.

Being lonely is not deep.

Being misunderstood is not a personality.

A lot of suffering is just bad planning, weak boundaries, poor decisions, and ego dressed up as destiny.

Let’s not do that nonsense.

But there is a kind of struggle that is different.

A cleaner struggle.

A necessary struggle.

The kind that comes from being pulled by something real.

The kind where, even on your worst day, some quiet part of you knows:

“This is still mine.”

Not easy.

Not pleasant.

Not aesthetic.

But mine.

That’s the difference.

The chosen one idea is dangerous if you use it as decoration.

It becomes poison when it becomes superiority.

But it becomes sacred when it becomes responsibility.

Chosen does not mean special.

Chosen means answerable.

It means you don’t get to waste your gifts and then complain about life feeling empty.

It means you don’t get to keep postponing the work and still expect peace.

It means you don’t get to live like an average man and demand the inner satisfaction of a legendary one.

That equation will not balance.

Nature does not care about your self-image.

If you say you are here for something bigger, then your days must begin to prove it.

Quietly.

Not loudly.

Not on Instagram.

Not in your bio.

Not through dramatic announcements.

Through work.

Through discipline.

Through the boring, unsexy, repetitive act of showing up.

Again.

Again.

Again.

Until the world has no option but to deal with what came through you.

That is the part nobody wants.

Everybody wants the lightning.

Nobody wants to become the rod.

But if you are really a channel, then your job is not to look powerful.

Your job is to stay clear enough for power to pass through.

That means less drama.

Less noise.

Less leaking energy.

Less begging to be understood.

Less explaining your destiny to people who are not even loyal to their own.

Let them laugh.

Let them misunderstand.

Let them think you are mad.

In fact, good.

It protects the work.

Some things should not be too easily believed.

If everybody claps immediately, maybe the thing is not that new.

Maybe it is just familiar enough to be safely approved.

The real thing often looks stupid before it looks obvious.

The real thing often looks impractical before it becomes inevitable.

The real thing often makes you look alone before it makes sense to the room.

So stop expecting the room to certify what the mountain already told you.

The mountain does not need witnesses.

It needs a climber.

And yes, you will be scared.

Of course you will be scared.

Only fools are not scared of large destinies.

If the mountain in front of you does not scare you, it is probably not your mountain.

The fear is not the enemy.

The fear is information.

It tells you the thing is big.

It tells you the thing matters.

It tells you your nervous system has understood the size of the assignment before your mouth has found language for it.

So don’t wait to become fearless.

That is another trap.

Fearless people are often just unconscious people with better branding.

You do the work scared.

You build scared.

You write scared.

You sing scared.

You create scared.

You lead scared.

You become useful scared.

That is maturity.

Not the absence of fear.

The refusal to let fear drive.

Because the wagon is moving anyway.

That is the strangest part.

After a point, you realise you are not fully in control.

You are not the driver.

You are not even always the map-maker.

You are on this thing.

It is moving.

No brakes.

No clean explanation.

No guarantee.

No neat five-year plan.

Some greater force has its foot on the pedals.

Call it God.

Call it life.

Call it nature.

Call it destiny.

Call it the unconscious.

Call it whatever helps you sleep.

The name is not the point.

The movement is the point.

And your only sane response is participation.

Not passive waiting.

Not “the universe will do it.”

That is laziness wearing incense.

Participation.

You do your part.

That’s it.

That is the whole secret, if there is one.

Do your part.

Not the whole world’s part.

Not the result’s part.

Not the timing’s part.

Not the applause’s part.

Not the algorithm’s part.

Your part.

With seriousness.

With humility.

With obsession.

With enough madness to begin and enough discipline to continue.

That is where destiny becomes practical.

Because otherwise all this becomes metaphysical bullshit.

And we don’t need more of that.

We don’t need more people calling themselves chosen while doing nothing.

We don’t need more people confusing intensity with output.

We don’t need more people addicted to the identity of being deep, rare, misunderstood, different.

That is still ego.

A prettier cage, but still a cage.

The only thing that proves anything is what you build.

What you serve.

What you change.

What you leave behind.

That’s it.

You want to know whether the feeling is real?

Look at your life.

Is it making you more responsible?

More useful?

More disciplined?

More truthful?

More capable of carrying weight without turning into a victim?

Then maybe it is real.

But if it is only making you arrogant, unstable, resentful, lazy, entitled, or allergic to ordinary work, then sorry.

That’s not destiny.

That’s self-importance with a fog machine.

The chosen one does not escape work.

The chosen one gets more of it.

Better problems.

Heavier problems.

Cleaner problems.

Problems that shape the spine.

Problems that force skill.

Problems that demand character.

Problems that remove all decorative parts of the self.

Problems that ask:

Are you actually serious?

Or did you just like the way the dream sounded in your head?

That is the test.

Not whether you feel chosen.

Many people feel chosen at 2 AM.

The test is whether you can still behave like it at 2 PM on a Tuesday when nothing is romantic and nobody is watching.

That is where legends are built.

Not in the vision.

In the maintenance of the vision.

In the daily refusal to betray it.

In the thousands of tiny decisions where nobody would know if you took the easier route.

But you would know.

And that knowing is enough.

So maybe the goal is not to have fewer problems.

Maybe that is too small.

Maybe the goal is to earn problems worthy of your life.

Problems that come from building something real.

Problems that come from loving something deeply.

Problems that come from serving something larger than your own comfort.

Problems that come from refusing to shrink.

Problems that, even when they break you open, make you more aligned.

Because the wrong problems make you bitter.

The right problems make you dangerous.

Dangerous in the best sense.

Focused.

Clear.

Hard to distract.

Hard to buy.

Hard to shame.

Hard to stop.

Not because you have become invincible.

But because you have finally accepted the assignment.

And once a person accepts the assignment, something changes.

They stop asking life to be easy.

They start asking to be useful.

They stop needing everyone to understand.

They start protecting the work.

They stop chasing signs.

They become one.

That is the shift.

That is the quiet graduation.

From “Why is this happening to me?”

To

“What is this asking of me?”

That one question can change a life.

Because suddenly, pain is no longer just pain.

Delay is no longer just delay.

Loneliness is no longer just loneliness.

Fear is no longer just fear.

Everything becomes material.

Everything becomes training.

Everything becomes part of the mountain.

And slowly, you realise:

The mountain was never only outside.

It was also you.

Your impatience.

Your ego.

Your fear.

Your hunger.

Your need to be seen.

Your need to be understood.

Your need to be certain.

Your need to know how the story ends before you take the next step.

All of that has to be climbed too.

Maybe especially that.

So if you are one of those peculiar people, you already know.

This is not for everyone.

And that’s fine.

Not everyone has to carry the same fire.

Not everyone has to build the same thing.

Not everyone has to live like their life is a mission.

But if you do know, then stop pretending you don’t.

Stop negotiating with the obvious.

Stop trying to become normal enough to be comfortable.

You are not comfortable because you are not in motion.

Move.

Do the next true thing.

Make the next honest thing.

Send the message.

Write the page.

Build the body.

Learn the skill.

Save the money.

Finish the song.

Make the film.

Call the person.

Leave the room.

Enter the room.

Take the hit.

Refuse the cheap distraction.

Protect the sacred.

No announcement needed.

No drama needed.

No hustle culture bullshit.

No corporate bullshit.

No ideology bullshit.

No metaphysical bullshit.

Just the work.

Just the task.

Just the strange mercy of being used by something larger.

And maybe that is the fairest thing.

Not fair as in easy.

Fair as in balanced.

If you were given the knowing, you were also given the responsibility.

If you were given the mountain, you were also given the legs.

If you were given the fire, you were also given the duty to not waste it warming your ego.

Do your part.

That’s it.

That is the secret.

But is it?

Really?

Maybe it is not a secret at all.

Maybe everybody knows.

Maybe very few are willing to live like they know.

After hours.
