Terms & Conditions

1. Business hours

Business hours are 9 AM to 9 PM, Monday to Saturday. Work, calls, meetings, sessions and communication will take place only during these hours. Responses may be delayed while sessions or other scheduled work are underway.

2. Sundays and holidays

Sundays are non-working days unless agreed upon in advance. Work requested on Sundays, public holidays or outside business hours is subject to availability and may involve an additional charge.

3. Project scope

The quotation covers only the services and deliverables agreed upon before the project begins. Any additional song, alternate version, edit, format, stem, deliverable or change in direction will be charged separately, either hourly or at a mutually agreed project-based rate.

4. Revisions

A maximum of three revision rounds is included unless stated otherwise. One revision round means one consolidated list of feedback submitted at one time. Feedback shared separately, across multiple messages or by different people may be treated as separate rounds.

5. Additional revisions

Revisions beyond the included limit will be charged separately, either hourly or at a mutually agreed project-based rate.

6. Corrections and creative changes

Corrections required due to an error by Aakash Rajan HQ will not count as revisions. Changes to the approved brief, arrangement, composition, structure, lyrics, tempo, key, references, sound selection or overall creative direction will count as revisions.

7. Feedback and communication

Feedback must be consolidated and communicated by one designated point of contact. Conflicting or delayed feedback from multiple parties may affect the timeline and result in additional charges.

8. Last-minute and urgent work

Last-minute corrections, rush requests and urgent deliveries are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Overnight work or requests outside the agreed schedule may involve an additional charge.

9. Payment terms

A 50% advance is required to confirm and begin the project. The remaining payment must be cleared before the delivery of final high-resolution files, masters, stems or project files.

10. Booking and scheduling

Dates are reserved only after the advance has been received. Delays in receiving recordings, files, lyrics, references, feedback, approvals or other required material may shift the agreed delivery date.

11. Cancellation and postponement

The advance is non-refundable once work has begun. If a project is cancelled, payment will be due for all work completed until that point. Projects postponed repeatedly may be rescheduled according to availability.

12. Source files and sessions

The agreed fee includes only the deliverables mentioned in the quotation. Ableton sessions, raw recordings, MIDI files, editable project files, presets and other source material are not automatically included unless agreed upon beforehand.

13. File storage

Project files will be retained for 90 days after final delivery. Storage beyond this period is not guaranteed. All delivered files must be downloaded and backed up by the client.

14. Third-party expenses

Session musicians, vocalists, studios, instrument rentals, travel, sample licences, external engineers, software and other third-party expenses are not included unless specifically mentioned in the quotation.

15. Samples and clearances

The client is responsible for clearing all material supplied for the project, including samples, compositions, lyrics, recordings, voice clips and copyrighted material. Any third-party material introduced by Aakash Rajan HQ that requires clearance will be disclosed before release.

16. Credits

The exact credit wording and role must be agreed upon before release. The client is responsible for submitting the correct credits and ensuring that they are accurately displayed across DSPs, YouTube, artwork, descriptions, metadata, press material and other relevant platforms.

Submission of the correct credits to a label, distributor or other third party does not conclude this responsibility. If the credits are omitted, altered or displayed incorrectly, the client must promptly contact the responsible party, request a correction and make reasonable efforts to have the credits updated across all applicable platforms.

17. Ownership and rights

Master ownership, composition ownership, publishing splits, royalties, producer points, artist status and other rights must be agreed upon separately in writing. Payment for services does not automatically transfer any underlying copyright or ownership unless explicitly stated.

18. Portfolio use

Once the work has been publicly released, Aakash Rajan HQ may mention or display the project as part of professional credits, showreels and portfolios unless restricted by an NDA or separate written agreement.

19. Third-party changes after delivery

Aakash Rajan HQ will not be responsible for encoding issues, metadata errors, loudness changes, file alterations or technical problems introduced by distributors, streaming platforms, labels or other third parties after delivery.

20. Acceptance of terms

Payment of the advance or written confirmation to begin the project will be treated as acceptance of these terms.
